Bu nedenle bu çalışmanın amacı yüksek öğretim öğrencilerinin öğretim elemanlarına güven düzeyini saptayarak güvenin öğrencilerin akademik başarısına etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma evrenini Kocaeli Üniversitesi öğrencileri oluşturacaktır. Öğrenci sayısının çokluğu ve araştırmanın sınırlılıkları nedeniyle tabakalama örnekleme yöntemiyle oransal olarak örneklem seçilmiştir. Betimsel modele dayalı olarak yapılan araştırmanın verileri Hoy ve Tschannen-Moran (2003) tarafından geliştirilen “okullarda güven ölçeği”nin yükseköğretime uyarlanması; öğrenci başarısı ise öğrencinin bir dönem önceki akademik başarı ortalamasını anket şeklinde sorarak toplanmıştır. Güven düzeyi ile öğrenci başarısı arasında ilişkisi olup olmadığını test etmek için Pearson Korelasyon Analizi yapılacak, etki düzeyini belirlemek içinse regresyon analizi yapılacaktır. The aim of this study is to comprehend the effects of confidence on academic success of students, by exploring the confidence level of university students on university lecturers.The population of concern of the research is composed of the students of the University of Kocaeli. Due to plentifulness of the students and the limits of the research, the sample was gathered proportionately through method of stratified sampling. The datas of the research, based on descriptive model, gathered with adaptation of ‘scale of confidence in schools’ developed by Hoy and Tschannen-Moran (2003) and the success of the students is measured by a survey asking the average grade of academic achievement of the preceding term.
