MESLEKİ VE TEKNİK EĞİTİMDE SANAL EĞİTİM UYGULAMASI: SANAL EĞİTİMİN BAŞARIYA ETKİSİ

Hem kalite bakımından hem de kantite bakımından eğitimin değişen ihtiyaçlarının BİT (Bilgi İşlem Teknolojisi) kullanımını gerekli kıldığı açıktır. Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojisinin eğitimde, özellikle mesleki ve teknik eğitimde kullanımını arttırmak için bu alanda dünyada uygulanan yeniliklerin farkında olunması gerekmektedir. BIT kullanımı esasına dayalı bir yaklaşım olan sanal eğitimin mesleki ve teknik eğitimde kullanılması nispeten yeni bir uygulamadır. Mesleki ve teknik eğitimde uzaktan eğitim modelinde uygulanan sanal eğitimin öğrenci başarısına etkisi belirlemek için yapılan, CNC Sanal Eğitim Merkezini kullanan deney grubundan ve aynı ders içeriğini geleneksel yöntemle öğrenen kontrol grubundan elde edilen nicel verilere dayanan sonuca göre, yapılan bağımsız gruplar t testi sonuçlarında kontrol ve deney grubu sontest puanları arasında anlamlı düzeyde farklılık çıkmamasına rağmen, deney grubunun başarı puanındaki artış, kontrol brubunda elde edilen artıştan daha yüksektir. Bu durum, deney grubunda uygulanan CNC Sanal Eğitim Merkezi Programı ile yapılan öğretimin, geleneksel yaklaşıma dayalı olarak yapılan öğretime göre, öğrencilerin başarı puanlarını artırmada daha etkili olduğunu göstermektedir.

APPLICATION OF VIRTUAL TRAINING IN VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION: ITS EFFECT ON THE PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS

It is an accepted fact that the changing needs of education require ICT use in terms of quality and quantity. To increase the use of ICT in education, especially in vocational and technical education, it is essential to be aware of the advances in this field in the world. Virtual education or training, based on ICT use, is relatively new application in the vocational and technical education. The quantitative data, obtained using experimental research design on experimental group (that had training using Virtual Training Centre for CNC) and control group (that had the same training content in traditional way) about the virtual training applied in distant education model and its contribution to student performance indicate that, although the t test results between two groups do not point out statistically significant difference, the increase in the test scores of the experimental group is higher than the control group. This indicates that virtual training has a role in the increase of the test results obtained from the experiemntal group.
