ÇEVRE EĞİTİMİ DERSİNİN ÖĞRENCİLERİN ÇEVREYE KARŞI TUTUMLARI VE DAVRANIŞLARI ÜZERİNE ETKİLERİ

Bu çalışmada; sınıf öğretmenliği öğrencilerinin çevre eğitimi dersini aldıktan sonra çevreye karşı tutum ve davranışlarının değişip değişmediği incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla 2007-2008 eğitim öğretim yılı güz döneminde Pamukkale Üniversitesi, Eğitim Fakültesi, Sınıf Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalına kayıtlı 2. sınıf öğrencilerinden 297 kişi basit tesadüfi örneklem yöntemiyle çalışma gurubu oluşturulmuştur. Çevre eğitimi dersi öğrenci merkezli öğrenme yöntemiyle işlenmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında 297 öğrenciye 13’er soruluk çevre tutum ölçeği ve davranış testi ön test-son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Öğrenciler daha sonra bir dönem boyunca haftada 2 saat olmak üzere çevre eğitimi dersini almışlardır. Çevre eğitimi dersi sayesinde öğrencilerin çevreye karşı tutum ve davranışlarında olumlu yönde değişmeler gözlenmiştir. Çevre konusunda bireysel ve öğrenci merkezli öğrenme teşvik edilerek, öğrencilerdeki çevre bilincinin artmasına katkıda bulunmuştur.

THE EFFECTS OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION ON ENVIRONMENTAL BEHAVIOR AND ENVIRONMENTAL ATTITUDE IN THE STUDENT OF CLASSROOM SCHOOL TEACHERS

In this study, it was investigated whether the attitudes and behavior of classroom school teacher students have changed or not after studying environment education. We have designed the study with 297 person by random from Classroom Teacher students at 2nd grade in Fall Semester of 2007 – 2008 academic year at Pamukkale University. Environmental education was given by student centered approach same scholar. In the study, data were gathered from 297 university students by means of Environmental Attitude Scale and Environmental Behavior Test having 13 questions as pre-test post-test. The students have studied this course two hours in a week throughout the semester. The research results showed that the attitudes and behaviors of the students had significantly changed. By the student centered learning approach, the consciousness of the students towards the environment has been increased.
