ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ ELEKTRİKTE ALAN BİLGİSİ

Bu çalışmanın amacı, alan bilgisi eğitimini tamamlamış öğretmen adaylarının akım, direnç, potansiyel kavramları ile ilgili bilgi düzeylerini belirlemek ve kavram yanılgılarını tespit etmektir. Bu çalışma, 2007-2008 öğretim yılında alan bilgisi eğitimini tamamlamış olan Fizik Öğretmenliği programında öğrenimlerine devam eden beşinci sınıftaki 26 öğretmen adayı ile sınırlı olarak yürütülmüş bir özel durum çalışmasıdır. Bu doğrultuda akım, direnç ve potansiyel fark kavramlarını içeren açık uçlu 5 sorudan oluşan bir alan bilgisi testi ile mülakatlar veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırma, öğretmen adaylarının akım, direnç ve potansiyel fark kavramlarıyla ilgili kavram yanılgılarına ve bilgi eksikliğine sahip olduklarını ortaya koymuştur. Öğretmen adaylarının düştüğü yanılgıların temelinde bilgi eksikliği, işlemsel öğrenme ve üst düzey bilişsel yetersizliklerin olduğu görülmektedir. STUDENT TEACHERS’ CONTENT KNOWLEDGE ON ELECTRICITY

The aim of this study is to determine student teachers’ subject matter knowledge and misconceptions on electricity. This is a case study, carried out with 26 physics student teachers in 2007-2008 academic year. A subject matter test consisting of 5 open-ended guestions on the topics electric potential, current, resistance and intereviews are used as data gathering tools. This study indicated that student teachers have a number of misconceptins and lack of substance in electric current, resistance and potential difference topics. It seems that the reasons for their misconceptions are based on lack of substance, operational learning rather than conceptual and their upper cognitive insufficiency. It is recommended that student teachers be taught in accordance with the results of this type of related research and in the courses such as Special Teaching Methods student teachers should be engaged in the activities that help remove misconceptions in all topics.
