OKUL ÖNCESİ ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN MÜZİK ÖĞRETİMİNE YÖNELİK ÖZYETERLİK DÜZEYLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Bu çalışmada, okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin müzik öğretimine yönelik özyeterlik düzeylerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2011-2012 eğitim-öğretim yılının bahar döneminde Mersin ilinde Milli Eğitime bağlı ilköğretim okulları, bağımsız anaokulları ve özel anaokullarında görev yapan 157 okulöncesi öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak öğretmenlerin demografik özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla kişisel bilgi formu ve Özmenteş (2011) tarafından geliştirilen Müzik Öğretimine Yönelik Özyeterlik Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler betimsel istatistikler, t testi ve ANOVA testi yapılarak analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan t testi sonucu öğretmenlerin cinsiyetlerine göre istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılık (p<.05) saptanırken, kadro durumları ve hizmet yıllarına göre ise anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır (p>.05). Araştırma sonucuna göre okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin müzik öğretimine yönelik özyeterlik düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu söylenebilir.

AN INVESTIGATION OF MUSIC TEACHING SELF EFFICACY LEVELS OF PRESCHOOL TEACHERS

This study aims to investigate music teaching self-efficacy levels of preschool teachers. Study group of the study consisted of a total of 157 pre-school teachers working for public schools in the city center of Mersin. Two data collection instruments were used for the study. The first one was Personal Information Form for demographic and educational background information about the teachers. The second one was Music Teaching Self-Efficacy Scale developed by Özmenteş (2011). Descriptive statistics, t and ANOVA test was used to analyze the data. According to the findings of this study, it was found that there was significant difference according to genders (p<.05) and no significant difference found according to working status and total years in teaching (p>.05). The results revealed that music teaching self-efficacy levels of preschool teachers are high.
