SOSYAL ALANLAR EĞİTİMİ TEZSİZ YÜKSEK LİSANS ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN ÖĞRETMENLİK MESLEĞİNE İLİŞKİN GÖRÜŞLERİ

Bu çalışmada, Pamukkale Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Orta Öğretim Alan Öğretmenliği Tezsiz Yüksek Lisans Programına katılan öğrencilerin öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin görüşlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda tezsiz yüksek lisans öğrencileriyle nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme yapılmıştır. İçerik analizi yapılan bu araştırmanın verileri Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü tarafından yürütülen Orta Öğretim Alan Öğretmenliği Tezsiz Yüksek Lisans Programı, Felsefe Grubu Öğretmenliği, Tarih Öğretmenliği, Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı Öğretmenliği ve Coğrafya Öğretmenliği bölümlerinde eğitim gören öğrencilerle yapılan görüşmelerin analizinden elde edilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları doğrultusunda, öğrencilerin bu programa katılma amaçlarının iş garantisi ve devlet güvencesine sahip, rahat, kolay ve çevre tarafından arzu edilen, kendi istekleri dışında da olsa bir fırsat olarak gördükleri öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelmek olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

THE OPYONYONS OF STUDENTS ATTENDYNG NON-THESYS MASTER EDUCATYON PROGRAM

This study is aimed at determining the opinions of students attending non-thesis master program after their graduation from Arts and Science Faculty about ‘Teaching’. Qualitative research method was used to reach this aim. Twelve students who were graduated from such departments as Philosophy, History, Turkish Language and Literature and Geography were selected for the sampling. Semi-structured interviews were used to get the data from the participants. After analyzing the data according to the content analysis procedures, it was found that students were attending training education program in order to have an employment guarantee. Students preferred teaching as they had beliefs like teaching was protected by the government, teaching was easy and desired by the environment and teaching was opportunity even though they personally did not want to do.
